The NBA Paris Game 2024 presented by Revolut will feature the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Brooklyn Nets playing the league’s third regular-season game in Paris at the Accor Arena on Thursday, January 11, 2024.

The 5 Rules of an NBA Game

    Each team is comprised of 12-14 players, with five players per team on court at any one time.

    Games are comprised of four 12-minute quarters. Overtime takes place if the score is tied at the end of regulation.

    There are five positions per team: Point Guard, Shooting Guard, Small Forward, Power Forward, Center.

  • 4

    A shot taken from outside the arc scores three points, any shot taken inside the arc scores two points.

  • 5

    Free throws score one point. They are awarded if a player is fouled in the act of shooting, or if the team has accumulated more than five fouls in a quarter.

Cleveland Cavaliers
  • The Cavs were founded in 1970 and play in the Central Division of the Eastern Conference. 

  • Notable players: Donovan Mitchell (4x NBA All-Star, 2020-2023) and Darius Garland (NBA All-Star, 2022).

  • The Cavaliers made four consecutive trips to the NBA Finals (2015-18), winning the franchises’ first ever title in 2016.  French fans will also recall when the Cavs played the San Antonio Spurs in the 2007 NBA Finals which saw Tony Parker named NBA Finals MVP.

  • This will be the Cleveland Cavaliers' 1st game in Europe.

Brooklyn Nets
  • The Nets were founded in 1967 and play in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference.

  • Notable players: Ben Simmons (3x NBA All-Star, 2019-2021),  Mikal Bridges and Cam Thomas. 

  • The then New Jersey Nets made back-to-back NBA Finals appearances, including in 2003 against Parker and the Spurs. This is the Nets second game in Paris following a pre-season contest in 2008.

  • This will be the Brooklyn Nets 13th game in Europe, the most for any team.
